Jim Albert, DVM, Owner
Dr. Albert graduated from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. He practiced equine and large animal medicine in Kentucky upon graduation.
He gained valuable emergency medicine and surgical experience while employed at the Greater Buffalo Veterinary Emergency Clinic. [click to read more]
Stacey Sood, DVM
Dr. Stacey Sood was born and raised in Buffalo. She attended University at Buffalo and earned a B.S. in Biological Sciences and a Masters in Public Health. Her studies then took her to Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine in Alabama, where she graduated with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. Following graduation, she returned back to the Buffalo area to work in private practice. Dr. Sood’s professional interests include internal medicine, anesthesia, and preventative medicine. When not working, she enjoys reading, skiing, watching the Sabres, and walking her dogs. She lives in Cheektowaga with her husband, Rajeev, and their two dogs and five cats.

Amy Albert, Licensed Veterinary Technician,
Hospital Administrator
Amy graduated from Medaille College in 1993 with an AS in Veterinary Technology. She has worked as a Licensed Veterinary Technician since then and was instrumental in opening All Creatures Animal Hospital in 2003 and City Creatures Animal Hospital in 2007. She continues managing the operations at both hospitals in addition to practicing as a part-time Registered Physician Assistant. In her spare time, she cares for her 3 children and 2 dogs.
Joshua Domaracki, Head Licensed Veterinary Techinician
Josh started his career path towards veterinary medicine at McKinley High School, where he majored in Aquatic Ecology in 1995. He was then accepted in the Veterinary Technology program at Medaille College in 2000. He graduated in 2002 and has been working as an LVT since then, with the exception of his studying abroad in Australia for 5 months where he learned about Australian ecology. After his return and while working as an LVT, he obtained a Radiology Technology degree from NCCC in 2007. He is the senior radiology supervisor at City Creatures in addition to working in his current position as our Head LVT, in which he was promoted to in 2010. Presently he works closely with Amy, our Hospital Administrator, in managing the hospital. He orders inventory, supervises staff including training new staff members, initiates new programs at the hospital and helps establish protocols.
Falon Broderick, Licensed Veterinary Technician
Falon has wanted to become a Veterinary Technician since she was 9 years old when the pug that she loved dearly passed away. She grew up in the country and took it upon herself to make sure that the wildlife on her land were well cared for. She had a pet squirrel in addition to her menagerie including dogs, cats, birds, guinea pigs, rabbits, and chickens. She was accepted to the Medaille College Veterinary Technology program in 2007 and she graduated in 2010 with an Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology in addition to a Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Science. After college, she worked for an emergency veterinary hospital and a doggie daycare facility before starting at City Creatures in June of 2011.
Terry Martina, Licensed Veterinary Technician
Terry has worked in the veterinary field for at least 25 years. When she was 14 years old she started volunteering at the SPCA which led to a permanent position there in 1987. Following her position at the SPCA, she obtained her degree in Veterinary Technology in 2001 from Medaille College. She worked as an emergency LVT at Greater Buffalo Veterinary Services in Amherst, NY for 6 years in addition to working as a Laboratory Assistant, teaching Vet Tech students at Medaille College. Terry has a desire to care for underprivileged animals and has also volunteered at Feral Cat Focus. Her fur family includes two dogs, Punkin and Loki, in addition to 4 cats named Spawn, Mary, Tiger, and Demon.
Stephany Vence, Licensed Veterinary Technician
Stephany has a lifelong love of animals which influenced her decision to go to Medaille College to obtain her LVT degree. She graduated with honors in 2010. She started working at City Creatures Animal Hospital in February of 2012. She gained valuable experience caring for wildlife at Second Chance Wildlife Rehab. She owns a beautiful Bernese Mountain Dog named Zion. Their favorite activity together is taking long hikes in the woods.
Jennifer Pearce, Licensed Veterinary Technician
Jennifer had several pets growing up including dogs, frogs, snakes, skinks, hamsters, rats, guinea pigs, anoles, and fish which gave her a great love of all different kinds of animals. She also had a passion for medicine. She combined those two interests when she decided to attend Medaille College. She graduated from the Veterinary Technology Program with honors in 2006. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology in 2007. From there she worked in research at Roswell Park Cancer Institute until she had her baby boy in 2011. She presently works part-time at City Creatures Animal Hospital and is fortunate to be able to spend some time home with her growing son. She also lives with her husband and 3 cats including a Sphinx, a Devon Rex and a Domestic Long Hair.
Mary Ann Rago, Head Veterinary Receptionist
Mary Ann previously worked at Clarence Animal Hospital for 6 years and then moved to Florida and worked at Boca Village Animal Hospital for 3 years. She then moved back to Buffalo and started working at City Creatures Animal Hospital in 2010. She was promoted to Head Receptionist in February of 2012. She has 3 beautiful daughters and 1 adorable baby grandchild. Larry, her feline companion, lives with her. She also co-owns Kaz, her daughter’s dog, who visits on occasion.
Deborah Maine, Veterinary Receptionist
Debbie has been working with animals for 14 years as a Groomer, Dog Trainer for behavior problems/Invisible Fence training, and Veterinary Receptionist/Assistant. She lives with Randi, a Shepherd/Lab mix, Gracie, a Hound/Lab mix, and Betcha Kitty, her cat. She continues grooming and training on a part-time basis in addition to working full-time at City Creatures Animal Hospital.
Lindsey Ciulla, Veterinary Receptionist & Assistant
Lindsey’s love of animals led her to start the Veterinary Technician program at Medaille College over 3 years ago. She had to put her studies on hold to care for her child who had surgery at that time. Prior to starting at City Creatures Animal Hospital in February 2012, she was an emergency Veterinary Assistant at Orchard Park Veterinary Medical Center. She aspires to finish her degree at Medaille College in the near future and come on board as a Licensed Veterinary Technician.
Kelly Johnston, Veterinary Receptionist
Kelly has always loved animals as she grew up with dogs, cats, hamsters, birds, rabbits and even chickens! She graduated with a Civil Engineering degree in 2004 from the Rochester Institute of Technology and worked as an engineer for 6 months before deciding that she was going to leave that profession to pursue a degree in Animal Management. She attended NCCC from 2009-2011 and graduated with a Animal Management degree. Of interest, she performed an internship at the Buffalo Zoo and the Primate Sanctuary during college. She is interested in canine, feline and avian medicine and has a desire to further her education and career by one day becoming a Licensed Veterinary Technician. She started working for the City Creatures team in April of 2012.
Myles Stubblefield, Vet Tech Student, Veterinary Receptionist
Myles graduated from high school in 2007 and from there enrolled himself at Alfred State College SUNY for a 2 year journey starting his career path in Veterinary Technology. He transferred to Medaille College in 2009 and continues to finish up his degree. In the meantime, he started an apprenticeship in canine behavior modification with Josh Moran of K9 Connection, where he works professionally now. He started working at City Creatures shortly after his Vet Tech preceptorship here ended in May of 2010. Myles plans to combine these two careers to continue on as a LVT with a certification as a Canine Behaviorist.
Tye Diener, Veterinary Assistant
Tye is Korean and was adopted at 4 months of age. As a teen, she became interested in working with animals which led her to start working at a pet store in 2005 where she worked for 2 years. She left to attend D’Youville College where she obtained her degree in Biology in 2009. From there, she kept herself busy by working as a Veterinary Assistant and as a Groomer’s Assistant at numerous animal hospitals before working for us at City Creatures in July of 2011. She aspires to perform marine research, examining genetic data, at a medical and environmental level.
